How much does Air Cadets Cost?

There are no registration fees to join!

Uniform Parts & Costs

As a cadet you are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all items issued to you.  Normal wear and tear is permitted and you may exchange any item as many times as required for normal wear and tear or if you outgrow something.

However willful damage, destruction or loss will result in you being responsible for the full replacement costs of the items lost/damaged/destroyed.

What does it cost to join Air Cadets?

 

There are no registration fees or dues to join the Cadet Program.

Upon joining, uniforms and accoutrements are provided free of charge.

The Cadet programme is funded by the Department of National Defence in partnership with the civilian Navy League, Army Cadet League, and Air Cadet League of Canada. The civilian sponsor requires local community support to meet its obligations that include accommodations, training aids, and equipment and programme enhancements not otherwise provided. Parents and cadets are expected to participate in and contribute to fund raising as required by the League's local sponsoring element.

Who joins Air Cadets?

Cadets is for Youth ages 12-19.

There are over 24 000 Air Cadets in Canada.

Some famous ex-cadets include Mark Garneau and Rick Mercer!

When do Air Cadets Meet?

12 Edmonton Squadron meets on Thursday nights from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm durning the school year and on selected Saturday's.

You will also participate on selected weekend's.

You may also apply to attend a Summer Training Course.
